What a different experience than normal!!
First I purchased a cool belt that was grey suede and woven with some studs (size large) and then went into a store to get a blouse that I could wear it over. Tried the blouse on with the belt and I had to put the belt to the last notch. I came out of the change room and another shopper and the lady who worked there both told me I needed a smaller belt!! That has not happened to me in a decade!
Plus I also went down a size in the blouse...I think I might actually start enjoying shopping for clothes again soon. Won't be good for my bank account but it was great for my soul!!! This is my first success story that i have posted, but with hard work, it will NOT be my last.
Have a great day everyone.

Awesome! I agree shopping is so fun now with the weight loss! Keep up the good work!0

Of course the downside is if you lose a lot (I lost 40lb) then those shopping days become common as the clothes you only bought 3 or 4 weeks ago start falling off.
It really is a lovely problem to have though... :laugh:0 -
That's fantastic!!! I just try to go to consignment shops, resale shops, or shop clearance racks so once I lose all the weight, I can really splurge!! Good goin'!0

That's GREAT! What an awesome feeling.
I went shopping over the weekend and had such a nice time buying t-shirts (I need for working out) and other blouses in a medium size and not large and extra large. I got 16 pieces of clothes for $61.50 which made it even better!0 -
There are a lot of great sales right not and consignment shopping is the way to go when you are on the journey. It was hard for me to give away clothes that still felt so new!
Happy Day!!!0 -

Same here!! When I get to goal, I'm going to Mall fo America and going crazy!
Way to go OP!! What a great feeling! You will have many more to come!0 -
That's awesome! I'm experiencing the same thing right now and it's such a nice feeling. I agree with you all on the expensive part of it though. I tried a consignment shop but they didn't have a great selection of size 14 jeans and I need the jeans in short so I don't have to drop $20 on hemming them (and no, I CANNOT sew... lollll). I'm going to allow myself one pair of jeans and probably a pair of summer-y work pants to hold me over. A few of my 16's still fit without being horrible as long as I wash them after one wearing. I can sacrifice doing more laundry for better fitting clothes0
