Daily Inspiration For May 5, 2010
Create a new and improved community.
A support network is vital to your success. So, embrace or create a community of supporters who will nurture you throughout your life. Surround yourself with people who love you for who you are, and who will be there for you no matter what. Do business with competent professionals who treat you with respect and good will. Nurture friendships with people who do not base their friendship with you on who they need you to be for them.
Your family can't be chosen, so limit your exposure with family members who are not supportive of your new lifestyle. Spend as much time as possible with people who encourage you. When you add a new person to your community, consider them carefully. This healthy community you are building is for your life.
Action for the day: Review your relationships. Have you built a supportive and loving community? If not, in your journal, make a list of things you can do to begin that process. Do one thing on your list today.

This is so true! Thanks for posting!
So many of my friends always want to start working out and eating right with me so when we finally start together they end up bailing a week later which makes me end up bailing! It's so frustrating! This time around I'm doing it on my own with support and encouragement from my family and MFP. Of course, now my friends see me actually taking care of myself and try to sabotage me, or accuse me of not waiting for them. :grumble:0
