For the last two days I've increased my exercise, adding 15 minutes more walking and 45-60 minutes on the stationary bike. I weighed this morning and my scale says I've gained 1/2 lb! I'm drinking buckets of water, getting plenty of fiber, and moving more than I have in years, and my, uh ..."plumbing is still clogged". WHAT GIVES!?

I've heard that when you change up your exercise routine, your muscles can retain water for a few days. It sounds like to me with the added walking and doing the stationary bike, that might be what is happening. I would keep up the diet and exercise that you're doing now and try weighing again in a few days. Between getting rid of the retained water in your muscles and letting the exercise have an impact on burn fat, you should see a drop. No need to fret yet :)

If you're still clogged and you say you're getting enough fiber, you should think about seeing your doctor or starting a fiber supplement. What is your fiber set at? Mine is set at 25 and as long as I get 25, I'm usually pretty good...but it also depends on the KIND of fiber. Whole grains and nuts usually help me best - and coffee. If you're not set at 25g, go into custom goals and change it and really work to get there because being clogged is NOT safe for you and it could also be keeping you from losing.

I try to drink 2 large glasses of WARM water every morning. It works to keep things moving almost without fail.
