New routine and swelling

I just started Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred 4 days ago and since then, I have gained a pound or two, which I'm not really worried about, and all my clothes fit tighter. I have been drinking enough water and eating as little processed food as possible and maintaining about a 500 calorie a day deficit. I don't understand why my body would be getting noticeably bigger. I still plan on sticking with it and finishing the whole program but is it normal to get bigger when starting a new workout routine? Does anybody have any idea how long this might continue?

You could be producing an unnatural amount of testosterone and HGH which is causing you to bulk up after four days of lifting.
Or your muscles are holding more water and glycogen and therefore there is a little bit of swelling.0 -
I had suspected a bit of water retention might be to blame but it seems like a lot of swelling. A pair of pants that has been almost falling off now fits and is on the tight side of comfortable and I had to loosen my belt 2 notches in the last 4 days. I just feel huge(er than normal).0
