How long does fat gain take to show?

Just curious. Over indulged a bit on Sat/Sun. Weighed myself on Tuesday and was +1kg from Friday. Still had nice muscle definition on my stomach Mon/Tues, Wed it looked a bit softer and Thurs/Fri I have a bit of a belly. Wondering now if its fat from the weekend, or I've just gotten bloated (couple of possible reasons).

Is that how long fat takes to show up, or would it have been visible earlier in the week.

Just nice to be able to figure out my bodies reactions to what I do to it, so I can learn from my mistakes!

    It took me 2 months of no exercising & moderate over eating to show fat on tummy & thighs, which went down in 2 weeks of exercising..

    maybe its water weight what you are seeing..

    It takes 7000 calories over tdee to gain 2lb of fat. Unless you seriously overindulged if hazard a guess at it being just water weight
