Number of meals a day (protein intake)

Hey Guys,

I find so much conflicting info on the number of meals a day and the amount of protein you can intake at any one time.

From what I've read you can only process 30g of pure protein at any one time but from my own knowledge and other things I've seen that's just pure protein, if you eat it in a meal with a balance of fats and carbs etc then it's very different. Am I correct in saying that all our food just goes into our stomach and it doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner because it all just gets broken down just the same? If this is the case and it gets broken down across the day does it matter if say I take in 80g of protein on my lunch, is some of that protein a waste or will this be used at some stage?
