Hair Dye Question

I've been using Manic Panic color for awhile and have noticed that after I dye my hair, it'll bleed during workouts up to a few days later. Is there anyway to stop the dye from bleeding? I don't dye my whole head, and most of it isn't even at the roots of the hair.
It's not a huge deal for me to drip blue sweat but I'm just curious if anyone has any tips on how to stop the dye from bleeding during workouts.....other than "stop dying your hair."

I have read that Maniac Panic is not a dye it is a stain and will run when it gets wet. I have heard that Pavana (sp?) is one that dyes the hair and won't run. That is all I can say.0

Hmmm ok. I don't know everything about hair dye or stain for that matter but I'll check out pavana! Thanks!0

Manic Panic run's but doesn't harm hair. Indigo is a blue dye that won't run as much. I use hendigo on my hair every few month's, that henna + indigo. It's very strengthening for the hair.0

Try splat hair dye. Also I found that putting a plastic bag over my hair while the dye is in, (like a shower cap) and using my blow dryer on it for 10-15 minutes makes colors more vibrant and it runs less after the dye is washed out and the color stays in longer.0

Where do I get henna?0 -
Any "fantasy" color will bleed, it's a complete pain but it's because the color doesn't get completely absorbed in cuticle (molecule is larger). If you use a dryer and a plastic cap it will expand cuticle and get more color in but you also need to let it cool before rinsing so that the cuticle closes. it'll still bleed though...really no way around that. Buy a sweat band!
Hope that helps

Try a vinegar rinse. About 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water, drench your hair in it at the end of your shower, don't rinse. The vinegar scent should go away as it dries. You may need to adjust the proportions to suit your needs.0

I only buy my hair stuff from hennasooq. There's couple other supplier's I've heard of. Henna should be researched thoughly before use to make sure it's for you. If you want want the strengthening with out the color then use cassia, it actually has a very pale yellow color but only will show up on very very pale hair. Henna has a dark orangy brown color so I mix it with indigo or katam to make brown, orange+blue= brown. ETA always make sure to buy BAQ henna (body art quality)0
