Natural Energy Boost - Raw Honey

I’ve known this little trick for a while, but I figured I’d share with my fellow MFP users!
If you are feeling the need for an energy boost and would prefer to not indulge in caffeine or heavily processed products, eat a teaspoon of raw honey! If it’s a little rich for your taste by itself, mix it in a cup of hot herbal tea or use it as a spread. The raw honey I use is only 20 calories per teaspoon, and I use it just about every day (sometimes multiple times a day).
What is your go-to energy boost? It can be natural or not. I’m just curious!
P.S. If you eat local raw honey, some folks believe it can act as a “vaccine” for local allergies. Since I started eating local honey, I haven’t had allergy issues, and the pollen in Houston has been awful the past few weeks!

Since honey is pretty much straight sugar, it'll spike my blood sugar, and then I'll crash. To boost my energy for a longer period of time, I'll have a complex carb paired with a protein item, like tuna on whole wheat bread.0

Does raw, unprocessed and unfiltered honey have the same impact on blood sugar as "regular" honey? Just curious. I know the typical bottle of honey has added sugar and all of the "good stuff" ends up filtered out, but that isn't the case for raw honey.0
