What's the deal with BACK FAT?

I really loath back fat. And the lower belly pooch. I wish I could spot reduce these areas!!!!

    You can. It's called Liposuction.
Now if you're talking exercise, then no.

I seem to be losing my back fat first. It's a much bigger difference when looking at my back changes than the stomach changes.

I'll take a reduction in either. I've reduced my carbs and the upper fat in my stomach has really reduced quite a bit, but the lower belly fat is very stubborn. It's the first place I can recall gaining extra weight in my teens and I feel like it wants to stay. It's found a comfy home and doesn't want to go anywhere!

Carbs don't really affect where you lose first and such. That's genetics. And the reason you lost that top part was probably due to your deficit which caused you to lose body fat.

Where you gain first will probably be the last place you'll lose

It's finally dawned on me why people connect carbs and anything negative relative to weightloss. They are really easy to overeat and they don't fill a person up on one serving. I mean, I could eat a half a loaf of bread toasted. That's what, 800 calories? 3 serving of pasta at 600 calories...I could go on. But why?

Op, eat at a moderate deficit and do some regular exercise. Consider lifitng weights (it helps you reduce Bf while retaining lean mass) and be patient. You will lose fat on your back and stomach. But it may not be as fast as you want. Id post some pictures but I'm on my phone and theyre on my pc. I will try to remember later tonight or tomorrow.

To be clear, I don't demonize carbs, I've just cut back on them quite a bit as far as refined carbs, which is just a good practice.

Yeah, yeah... I'm there... losing my pound a week. BOO. Still got a belly and back fat! I guess I just have to be patient.

I was just complaining about back fat to a friend of mine. I hate it, luckily I seem to be loosing it. My shirts are fitting loser. I'm sure you'll loose yours too, maybe it will take awhile to come off but I'm sure it will.
