TOM and weight loss??

Ok, so everything I have come to realise about my weight and my TOM, this month has been thrown totally out the window and I am now left confused. So if anyone can given me an explanation or shed some light on what is going on, my brain would very much appreciate it...

Basically every month I have gained weight during TOM, nothing unusual there, totally expected and not worried about. The past week or so I have eaten a lot more than I usually do and have upped my calories to 1670 (all this TDEE stuff) before I was really struggling with just 1200 calories but now I have two lunches!

I came on, weighed, lost 1lb, weighed again today and lost another 2lb?? I am still on, heavy, what the heck is going on...

We all gain a little during TOM but it does even out. And the fact you've upped your calories suggest you weren't eating enough before, hence your body doesn't think it's going to starve.

During TOM we are at our heaviest weight of the month (not factoring in calorie deficit and exercise) our metabolism is also at its highest (hence the bigger appetite) I personally try to take advantage of this by exercising extra during TOM assuming the cramps will permit it and drink lots of water to help my body from retaining extra. I used to always gain 2 to 3 lbs during but have managed not too the past couple of months :)

    It happens..

That happened to me last cycle.. I actually lost weight and didn't gain the typical monthly bloat. This cycle on the hand, I stayed about the same.. bloat was visible but the scale seemed to go up then down then up, etc,.
