Hello,
I started using My Fitness Pal a while ago and then stopped. I am now back and looking for some positive support. Here is a little about me and where I am now.
I started my weight loss journey in 2009 with a gastric by pass. I had lost 130 pounds and while that number looks like a lot I still feel like a failure as I never got to my goal weight. It is now 3 years later and I've gained 50 pounds back, and feeling even more like a failure. I had been working out at a gym and had a trainer I met with once a week. I was doing really well then had to have knee surgery and that stopped me from working out as much as I had been. Ok to be really honest I stopped working out. Things got better and started back again. Then two more surgery happened and while I kept working with the trainer I didn't do anything extra.
A year and half later I am trying to get back on track because I don't want to keep going backwards. I know what needs to be done, but I also know I am weak minded. I hoping by forcing myself to track everything I eat it will help me to make better choices. Feeling defeated. I'm trying to find positive things but right now its really hard. I'm trying to go back to the basic's, protein, Veggies, very light on fruit (I think eating to much fruit has hurt my progress). I'm pretty good at staying away from the sweets, but need to work on staying away or limiting the amount of carbs and starches.
Looking for a support group if anyone is interested let me know.
