I am disappointed but not worried. I am still 190 pounds. I learned a few things about myself and will use these great MFP tools as I head into week two. Looking back I see on my food diary that I did not enter everything, missing those few brazil nuts here or that extra cappuccino...things that add up. I want to be completely honest myself and with everyone on this site. I appreciate the support and motivation from the people on this site....I admit, I need it....

A maintain is not a gain and that is great.

Karen.

Amen! I'm experiencing the same thing here. I have not lost any on the scale as of yet, but I am already feeling better about where I'm headed so far. Just as you said, Maintaining is not gaining so yay!

weightloss takes time...it takes time to take it off just like it took time to put it on. One day you will find your niche and it will all come together for you! Goodlucka nd welcome...

It is disappointing to be making all these healthy changes, but not seeing the results... right away anyway. But keep it up and you WILL have great results. It took me THREE weeks of extra exercise, eating a reduced calorie, healthy, balanced diet before the scale moved. I was upset, but I knew that I couldn't give up and that in the long run the lifestyle changes that I made would pay off. Now after three months I have only lost about 8 pounds but I am physically and mentally feeling so much better! My clothes look and fit better because the inches if not a lot of lbs, have dropped, and I am more concious of decisions that effect my and my family's health.
We alll get discouraged, but we're all here for each other to stay motivated and on track. Keep up all the good work!

Sometimes it helps to use the tape measure as well. I haven't yet but I can tell by the way my clothes are loose . I enter everything , including a mint I take once or twice a day.
  • I feel your pain..I lost my first week, then gained some of it back the second week! Argh! But even though I gained weight on the scale, I have seen some changes in my body, so I'll take that!! Best of luck with week 2!
