Heart rate monitor/ Calories Burned

I bought a Heart rate monitor to show how many calories I burn in my exercise because I want to be as accurate as possible. The one I bought I can not even figure out how to work. I need one that is waterproof as I do Aqua Zumba. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
