HRM troubles

Hi everyone

I wondered if someone could help iv recently bought a polar FT4 HRM and for some reason it is saying that i have burnt LOADS of calories for not loads of exercise im all up for saying iv burnt 220 kcal doing level 1 of the 30 day shred but lets face it i dont think thats right!

Could it be due to my asthma that its increased? :S

Any help would be appreciated worried im doing something wrong :S lol

    sounds about right. I burn 190 and I've been doing 30DS for over 30 days so it's getting pretty easy for me
    I also use the polar fT4
    oh, and also have asthma :)

    Yep, 220 sounds about right. Depending on your fitness level - weight/height etc. The first time I did 30DS L1 I think I burned around 210

    Also iv been doing couch to 5K and for week 1 (which is 22 mins of brisk walking and 8 mins of running) iv burnt 338 again that just seems a little high :S lol

    ive just finished level 1 of 30 day shred and i was burning 260/70 cals each time.

    From what I read, you average about 100 calorie burn per mile walked/ran
