A favorite in my house right now is orange banana smoothie

    2 bananas
    1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup sugar (optional, I think it tastes better with it)
    2 tablespoons peanut butter
4 ice cubes (if use frozen bananas then skip the ice)
    1 cup 2% milk
    1 cup orange juice

Blend and enjoy. This makes enough for both kids to have an 8 ounce cup and for me to have a 16 ounce cup.

If you're not opposed to a higher fat content, I make this one several times a week!

    3 tbsp almond butter
    1 tbsp ground flax seed
0.5-1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
    5 tbsp water
    4 tbsp coconut milk
    Handful of ice

You can also add a bit of greek yogurt, half a banana, or a couple strawberries/raspberries to mix things up!

    My Protein Smoothie Recipes:

    STRAWBERRY/OJ/BANANA:
    4 frozen strawberries
    4 ice cubes
    8oz Trop50 OJ
    1 serving vanilla protein powder
**blend until smooth, add 1/2 FROZEN banana and blend again for 15-20 seconds.
If you like your smoothie more frothy then DONT freeze your banana.

    CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER MOCHA:
    12 ice cubes
    1tsp sugar free chocolate syrup
1 tbs instant coffee (i like to dissolve it first in 1oz hot water)
    8oz 1% or non-fat milk
    1 serving chocolate protein powder
**Blend until smooth, then add 1 tbs peanut butter, blend again for 15 seconds.

Almond milk, chocolate protein powder, banana.....my hubby adds peanut butter.
I tried this recipe-minus the pb this morning (first time to make one), and it was so thick I nearly gagged. I added a few ice cubes to see if that would help...but it kinda made it worse. What am I doing wrong? I even used a smoothie maker..which is essentially is a blender with a dispencer.
