Extra Exercise

I've been a lazy lump for so long that I forgot how much I enjoy moving around, so I've started to move more. I do strength exercises with 4kg dumbbells and will soon be going heavier, I ride my bike, go out walking and if it's raining I'll shove in an exercise dvd, dance around to some fast music or get on my stationary bike. I have also found ways to sneak in extra exercise, just to keep me moving. If I'm in the kitchen cooking, I'll do star jumps when I'm waiting for things to boil, etc, and, as I can't do a full press-up yet, every time I go upstairs I'll do 10 press-ups at about a 40 degree angle, although I'll be moving down a step shortly.

Does anyone else have any little extras they do that I may have not thought of yet and can incorporate into my every day activities?

    Here's a good one....when you go to check on the laundry and it isn't quite done spinning yet, run in place or do jumping jacks. Put music on and dance for two minute while you are brushing your teeth. Do you have to go out to the street to fetch your mail? Sprint for it!

    I've also done things like do mountain climbers or jumping jacks during the commercials if I am watching TV. I also have a pull-up bar in the house that I make myself use for at least a couple of reps every time I walk by it.

    I also like to park in the spot farthest away from wherever it is I am going so I have to walk more to get there.
