I used to hate going shopping, because the clothes I wanted to wear never looked good on me, and I would buy things that covered up my belly and hid all the imperfections... well after dropping the 38lbs I can look forward to it! Last month I cleaned out my closet and was left with 1 pair of jeans and 1 pair of shorts. I have been putting off shopping in case I lost anymore weight, but now feel like I can start buying pants again lol...

So fear not people.... you will enjoy shopping again!! and soon you will think you can never have too many clothes!

I went to a high end consignment store with my daughter a few weeks ago. I bought 3 pairs of pants and 3 tops for $47. I wanted cheap clothes because I thought I wasn't finished losing weight. I was shocked to learn I'd already met my goal size. Even though I still weigh a few pounds more than my original goal weight, the exercise had trimmed me down and put me where I wanted to be size-wise. You might be pleasantly surprised when you have your shopping trip. Good luck to you!

It is such a lovely problem to have

I've spent the last 5 months down-grading my clothes but I'm now at the point where I bought a load because I can't lose much more

Right there with you! It has been a great experience to actually go shopping with my daughter (15) and enjoy trying on clothes rather than just picking out the 1x and xl baggie stuff! Weeding through my closet and giving stuff away left and right. At first I was scared too because I thought "what if" I need them again. Then I said to myself, "no way are you going back to these" and thought if I keep them I am not being committed to my efforts. While spending the money is not where I need to be (yes, consignment and thrift stores are great!), I am NOT complaining; it is fun shopping for clothes for the first time in over 20 years!

I think the best part was trying on all my old clothes before I gave them away to my always "skinner" friend... i would try on dresses that I thought I looked great in and it would fall off.. oh how i wish I could go back in time and wear it again in my now size lol...
I'm actually kind of sad i have no weddings to go to this summer... no where to wear all my old dresses I was going to take in lol
