When is the best time of day to go jogging?

I'm feeling a little discouraged with my jogging routines, and I was just wondering if there was a good time to good jogging?

The best time to go is when you will enjoy it.

It's different for everybody. Calorie burn differences are negligible.
  • I like to run in the afternoon after work (most of my run days are days where I work 11am-2pm) because my shift wakes me up and gets my muscles going, and then I run and it's like I have all this crazy energy.

When it's best for you. I was always an evening runner until I had to train myself for early morning runs since that's when races are. My blood sugars and meal timing were never high enough for early morning stuff. Now, I hate running later in the day. I prefer having my light breakfast and going. Never would've thought I ever say that too.

I perfer first thing in the morning. I find by afternoon or evening too many things can go wrong, I'm dehydrated, I didn't eat enough, I got home too late, etc.

any time of day is a good time to jog... well outside of 10pm - about 3:30 am depending on the city.

I can run in cold and I can run in rain... but put them together and it isn't happening.
