New to mfp

I have been on mfp for almost a week now. Some days have been good ...others days I almost made my goal. Anyhow just looking for support and suggestions.

Hi and eelcome to MFP! Not sure what changes you have already started. Measure and weigh your food and track it in the tool Get moving and track that as well. You can do this! Add me if you wish. Nancy0

Hi, All the best to you as you work toward a healthier body. You wanted suggestions because you're just starting out. First of all congrats on your successful first week. You had a couple "not so great" days and didn't throw in the towel and quit. That right there is the key to success. Know that you can't be perfect. Know that your ideas about food will change. Maybe even your goal will change as you learn more about shedding excess body fat and being more fit in general.
I think most people do better over the long run by making a few small changes at a time. When they become new habits you can make a few more changes. But some people do better going sorta "cold turkey" and completely changing their food plan. Only you can decide what will work for you.
Read the forums, learn about nutrition, find some people with the same type goals and create a friend list for support. For me reading the success forum is always inspirational if I feel myself flagging in motivation.0
