I don't know about you, but for me numbers motivate me!
Inches lost, body fat percentage down, how many more minutes I can do sprints, more weight I can lift, etc. are all things I find push me. Or when I want to eat a bagel for breakfast instead of protein like ham or eggs, I think of how that bagel will affect my body re:my glycemic index and blood sugar (not diabetic but I know prevention is the key.)
