Getting Married Next June! Any Ideas/Help

I am getting married next June and we are on a very tight budget. Anyone got some good ideas on how to save money. We have already cut our guest list down to about 73 people. I have been married before but he has not. I am not into the fairy tail type of wedding so I know I can save a lot by not spending a lot on my dress and stuff. But I think it is the Reception that is going to cost us the most money. :flowerforyou:

We wound up spending around $3000 or so on our wedding - we limited the guest list to immediate family only - her parents, my parents, her siblings & their SOs - and close friends. We had a really nice time with the 25 or so people whose attendance was most important to us (and them, frankly). I'm an Atheist, and she's agnostic, so we didn't need to have a church; we wound up just renting out the top floor of a local restaurant and having the ceremony and reception there.
TL;DR: whittle down the guest list to the absolute bare minimum. We were able to go with really high-end food/liquor and still not spend a lot because we weren't providing for many people.

we threw a party at a local club in town on a slow night, there were no fees and because it was late we just got finger foods. I think the place was happy to have 50 heavy drinkers there on a monday night. At the wedding their was only actully 7 people and we did lunch. In Ireland lunch time is typically substantially cheaper than dinner if you are willing to do that sort of thing. We probably spent a little over 1000 euros for everything. Congrats and good luck ;)
