Lower Calorie No-Sugar-Added Apple Dump Cake

I had this crazy apple "dump" cake at a relative's house on Easter and was determined to find something just as easy and delicious. Seriously, if you've never had "dump" cake, it's fantastic, and it takes about five minutes to prepare. Eat it while it's warm and you'll have a mouthgasm. I swear it! :D

I made this in a 9x9 pan, but if you wanted to make more, just use a whole cake mix and two cans of pie filling and double the butter. I just don't like to have a lot of it sitting around or else I'll eat it all! The result is buttery, gooey, appley goodness. YUM!

The best part? It's only 160 calories in 1/8th of the cake (215 cals in 1/6th). If you're counting carbs, it's only 14 net carbs in 1/8th. Score! :)

Ingredients:

1/2 box Pillsbury Sugar-Free yellow cake mix
1 can no sugar added apple pie filling (or peach or blueberry or whatever you want)
4 T butter, melted
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 and use nonstick spray on a 9x9 baking dish.

2. Dump the apple pie filling into the pan and then sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix lightly.

3. Dump 1/2 a box of sugar free cake mix on top of the filling, then drizzle melted butter all over the whole thing.

4. Use a spoon or rubber spatula to lightly mix the apples and cake mix and butter. It's OK if the cake mix is still a bit powdery on top.

5. Bake on middle rack for about 25 minutes or until it's golden brown. It'll be gooey-er than regular cake-- that's OK! It should be!

6. Serve while warm and be prepared to say yum! :D
