Help with love handles.

I have little love handles and am wanting to get them toned and gone. I know cardio is key, but is there any kind of strength training or exercises I can do that mainly focus on that area to help speed along the process a little bit?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Running and weighted squats are what's doing it for me.0

I have been running, but I'll definitely try doing squats.0

I've lost a lot of weight and I was losing all over pretty much but for some reason right under my hip bones down by my upper thighs always held weight.. like where you would wear your underwear strings? if that makes sense haha. I am guessing that's a love handle? IDK anyway, I NEVER ran because I HATED it. I started doing HIIT intervals and I'm not kidding you in less than two weeks my bikini string to my panties is completely visible and though there is still some stuff still there it is MUCH better.0

Your body looses weight where it wants to when it wants to.. I wish we could choose where to lose it.. cause my boobs would not have been my choice.. lol
They will go away eventually.. just keep at it. Mine are still there, but much smaller.0 -

Where your body stores fat is genetic, I'm afraid. Everyone has a part that goes last - for me too it's the love handle area too.....
Cardio is not really key. If you're not giving your body a reason to hold on to your LBM, then once you get to a certain point with your weight loss, then your body will start to shed muscle and bone density rather than lose body fat. It's an evolutionary advantage that allows you to survive through times of famine by holding onto fat that can keep you going when there's no food.
All you need to lose the love handles is a moderate calorie deficit and a good strength program. Cardio does not hurt (especially if you want good heart health or increased endurance), but you can get single digit lean without cardio and if you do too much and create too big a calorie deficit, then you'll just end up losing weight by losing the types of body materials you want to keep rather than the fat stores you want to get rid of.0
