Hello all,
I recently purchased an omega juicer.. its the masticating one.. I am not going on some juicing only diet.. I just would like to get in my veggies. I have been looking on pinterest for recipes, but thought you could share your favorites

I am trying to limit my fruits right now, so the ones with least amount of fruit would be appreciated!

We have the Huron juicer. This is the recipe my husband and I drink a lot.

    Recipe for 2 people:

2 - Juicing apples (Fuji is good)
    2 - oranges
The remainder is made up of carrots until we hit 24 oz on the juicing container.

It is a really nice tasting recipe. We haven't gotten to the "green" veges yet.

I love juicing and also have a masticating Omega (I have the 8005 Nutrition Center - also makes nut butters, etc.)

Here's a great guide for creating "green juices". http://heyliz.ca/post/11055863958/i-know-what-im-having-for-breakfast-via

I understand why you would want to limit the fruits. I found out the hard way. When I tried to drink straight fruit juice, I crashed. I found out that when you take out the fiber and are left with the fruit sugars (without a "green" to counteract), it can send blood sugar sky high - hence the crash. It was surprising for me, as I am not diabetic, nor pre-diabetic..

Here is another site specifically for Omega juicers. The first are heavy duty green drinks, but there are a few fruit based at the bottom for others. http://www.omegajuicers.com/juicing-recipes

The best advice I ever got was, when juicing you should never have to "hold your nose" to drink it. I have found that green apples and ginger seem to make most green juices delicious.

    Happy juicing!
