5:2 - Good AND bad!

I'm thinking about starting 5:2 IF late next week, after my surgery/recovery from surgery and would love to hear from folks who've tried it, with both positive AND negative stories. I don't just want to hear 'oh, it's great, do it!' I want to hear what's tough and any tips/advice to stick to it!
