Insanity really works

I just started insanity last Monday. Before that I had been done one month of P90X, but I decided what I really wanted was cardio to burn the fat-I am okay with my muscle mass for now. Well, during P90X I could never do all of Kempo because of my heart rate. I always had to take a break a few times and I always only did half of the X's.
Today was suppose to be my Cardio Rest day, but I had a few treats with my kids so I decided I needed to burn more calories so I did Kempo. I decided I was really going to try and push through and sure enough, I never had to stop. I even did the the Shaun T high knees during the breaks. When my heart rate got a little high, I knew I could keep pushing because I had been doing it for a week and a half with Insanity. Not only that, but at the end of the workout my average heart rate was lower than it had ever been for Kempo-even with working through the whole thing.
I have been discouraged because I have not seen the body changes that I would like. My brother, father and I all started losing weight at the same time and they have lost more weight than I have and it is frustrating. However, it is days like today that remind me that the ultimate goal of this lifestyle is to be healthy, not just look ripped, and I am succeeding in that goal.
