Donating Plasma while trying to eat 1500 calories a day

So I'm currently aiming for 1500 calories a day and exercising 3-4 times a week. I am also donating plasma at a local center twice a week (as much as they'll let me). I find that when I eat to get enough protein, I almost always over eat over my calorie goal.
Is it healthy to eat 1500 calories and donate plasma at the same time? Anyone have any experiences?

Yes, donating plasma is different then donating your red cells so it's much easier on your body. You are not losing your red cells or platelets. I worked at a blood bank for 10 years. Eat something before, but it's not hard on your body. Your body replenishes it every couple days.0
