Hi All!! I am 33 years old. I have struggled with my weight ever since I can remember. I have tried diet and exercise, however it is always short lived. As with many other people... I lose hope quickly.. or I just fall off the wagon. I am a stress eater. I grab anything I can find that is chocolate. I am completely addicted to chocolate, cake, and brownies. I think a lot of that has to do with being so unhappy with myself. I have yo-yo'd up and down with my weight. I eat better, and it doesn't make enough of a difference to me, so I stress eat junk to make myself feel better.
I was once diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Then I was told my bloodwork showed that I had a Hyperactive Thyroid, which didn't make any sense to me... Usually people with an Overactive Thyroid LOSE weight. I was confused. FINALLY they tell me (after another round of bloodwork) that I have Hypothyroidism... OK?? So they put me on Synthroid. Blood work after bloodwork... and after upping my dosage 4 times... they say my levels look good. I think maybe I have a bit of hope now.
SOOOOOO, here I am. I am back at it in hopes that it will be different this time. I have cut out pop and my favorite drink on the planet!! (Arnold Palmer.) I have been keeping track of my calories and pushing the water. I am going to try to start back to the gym this week. I have Plantar Fascaitis(sp) in my right foot, Bursitis in my left hip, and a bulging disc in my lower back that I think is pinching off a nerve. I have pain a lot. Sometimes it is so back that I am walking half bent over.
I am really hoping to do this this time. I know if I can possibly lose weight, it will help so much with my back, hip, and foot. I need to lose about 100lbs!! Here's to my new journey. Anyone who wants to add me, feel free!! I can use all the help and encouragement I can get! =)

I'm proud of all of you!! I have 50 to go and we'll do it together! I had plantar faciatis. Guess what cured it?? Do you have any of the Asian massage stations at a local mall? They're reasonable (around 10.00) and after three foot massages about seven years ago I haven't had any symptoms since. I also have degenerative disk disease. I sure understand the debilitating pain. I got an epidural block about a year ago and take a non-sedative muscle relaxer. I am now able to walk pain free for 30 minutes straight and it has really helped with the weight loss. I've hit a plateau and would love to eat a half gallon of ice cream. But that's what I'm on here for. The encouragement is wonderful.
