hi
i am 4ft 11 and 134.4 pounds.joined MFP recently. i read here about eating more than BMR and less than TDEE.
My BMR is1394 and i exercise and burn upto 300-450 calories a day.so should i be eating 1394+300 calories?MFP puts me in a 1200 range.so is it 1200+the exercise calories burned or BMR+the exercise calories burned?

MFP is set up that you are supposed to eat those exercise cals. What weight loss goal did you enter when you set up your account - how many pounds per week? If you set it at 2, heck, if any of us set it at 2lbs a week, we seem to get the 1200 calorie goal.

I don't like to eat below my BMR - I figure BMR is basically coma calories, and I am certainly not in a coma, so my body deserves more. I ended up setting my calories manually, choosing a number about 20% less than my TDEE, and always netting above my BMR. It has been working great for me. More info on that here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/937712-in-place-of-a-road-map-ver-3-0

By your ticker, it looks like you only have about 20lbs to lose. If you want to stick with MFP's set up, then if you haven't already, set your goal to 1lb a week and see if that changes your daily goal. Eat back exercise cals, track all your food carefully and accurately and see how it goes for a month or so. If you are seeing results and how you feel - energized & satisfied, or hungry & tired. Then make adjustments if needed.

It's all about what you want to do. Since I use an HRM to get my calorie burn I decided to put my daily calorie goal at my BMR and then I eat back what I earn with exercise. This happens to figure out to be around my TDEE-20% most days anyway.

If you decide to try the TDEE method, make sure you read the In Place of a Road Map thread to get all the information.
