i have been exercising past 4 years,,,,,,,,, Initially i lost 10kgs in 3 months due to dieting( eating around 1000 calories) and doing lots of cardio ........ after that my weight had plateaued and then started increasing (inspite of continuing the exercise and 1000 calories diet)....this happened for around 2 years

then I came across EMTWL article and did metabolism reset for 8 weeks and started lifing heavy.......i am now lifting heavy (for around 3 months) and doing less amount of cardio(may be around 2 days a week for 30 min)....... i could see more definiotn in my arms and back but still there is no loss in weight or inches..... WHERE AM I GOING WRONG?

SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG POST BUT ITS REALLY FRUSTRATING TO FIND YOUR WEIGHT EITHER INCREASE OR PLATEAU WITHOUT DECRASING FOR A LONG TIME

please advice

Note - i am suffering from PCOS

PCOS does complicate things and can make weight loss really, really difficult. Are you on any sort of medication? That can either help or make things worse, too. You might want to see your doctor and have your hormone levels checked....have you done that recently?

ETA: How overweight are you? If you're pretty close to a healthy weight, it's very difficult to lose for anyone, let alone someone with a metabolic disturbance.

The only way I have been successful with PCOS weight loss is low carb... period....

but talk to your Dr and/or a nutritionalist.....
