left over calories

If I go on a long run and have a LOT of extra calories for one day, is it okay to roll some of those over to the next day? I'm struggling with this because I want to lose weight, but I also know that the calories burned need to be replenished at a certain rate to maintain the weight loss I am wanting. What do you think?

You may want to play with this. Maybe you roll over 1/2 the calories, and see if this affects anything? Maybe try and allocate those rollover calories from protein and good fat sources (extra piece of fish or chicken breast)? I think it might be a mistake to use those rollover calories for junkfood. There's a place in one's diet for "dirty food", but I would keep that fixed.
Sounds like you're doing a great job with your fitness! As long as you're doing this, then I think if you do some trial and error on those rollover calories, there'll be no setback and perhaps it'll be of benefit.0
