Really Annoyed

I'm really annoyed, though it's nobody's fault but my own. Shortly after starting this program I was at Marshall's buying some Jamaican coffee and found a pair of brown-on-brown snakeskin print jeans. Perfect fit. Absolutely gorgeous. Like a fool, I bought them and have been wearing them everywhere. Today I slid them off...easily...without undoing the snap or the zipper. I can only hope they'll shrink in the wash. (Not likely). Ladies...DO NOT buy clothes, however beautiful , just before starting a weight loss program. They only had the one pair, so I couldn't have bought them to "shrink into".

lol Sales, clearance, thrift stores~ oh yes, the only way to ship while losing weight.
On a side note~ hold onto those pants and have them tailored once you lose the weight.0 -
I'm starting to feel this too. I don't want to spend a lot of money on new clothes right now, as I'm just 26 lbs into my weight loss, but my jeans can already be pulled down without unbuttoning/unzipping, and my skirts won't stay up at all. Got to hit some thrift stores and TJ Maxx kind of places soon to find some cheap interim clothing!0

Great point Ladies. Wait untill you reach your goal weight and then shop till you drop! Because you deserve it. I can't wait.............sweats till then however (cute ones nonetheless).0

Buying a size smaller clothes is all part of the fun for me but I don't spend too much on them, (agree with others get them in sales) as I know I will be out of them in six months.
But if I see something super gorgeous I will buy it and then have it taken in later. I have several evening dresses that are waiting for my goal weight :flowerforyou:0 -
I've got about 10 pieces I'll be taking to a tailor soon - some things are just too great or too special to let go of. But yes, don't fall in love with something you'll have to give up in the near future. It's strangely depressing, given that you should be happy you're not that size anymore.0

Goodwill is my absolute favorite place to shop, weight loss or not! When the most expensive piece of clothing is usually $4.99 and the occasional $2.50, I don't feel bad about going a little shopping crazy. It definitely satisfies my urge to shop while keeping the spending in check and creating sort of an ever-changing wardrobe. I'd highly suggest thrift/second-hand stores0

At least you really enjoyed them!0

And then after you shrink out of it, you can donate it back to good will :-)0

I have ended up several pairs of jeans and a jacket that are now way too big and only worn a few times each.
I have had some bargains recently though. I bought two leather jackets one at just £7 / $11 and one at £10 / $17.0 -
I know what you mean! But we can hardly go around naked! lol...
I found some great slacks on clearance dirt cheap not long ago, got two pair and they are too big now. Luckily, I also bought a pair two sizes smaller.
Shrinking out of our favorite clothes is one of the hard parts - not to mention expensive - of losing. Thrift stores, consignment shops and clearance racks are the way to go!
Most of my too-big things will be donated, the cream of the crop will go to consignment to help pay for the smaller clothes I need. A few that have simple lines & that I might not easily replace will go to to be altered.0
