Walking shoes.

I need some new shoes for walking, exercise etc.I am going to be walking in a 5 k on the 20th. Not running. I can't run.LOL I don't have a ton of money to spend and it's actually hard for me to find good shoes that fit! Any recommendations? I wear size 5-maybe 5 1/2.
