Embarrassing question!

So I lost 100lbs, (320 to 220, still have 60 to go) then had a kidney transplant in Sept and kind of stalled. I know it is from going through all I did the last 6 months, but now I'm much better and even more active than before and I have run into a problem.

When I run, or do jumping jacks or move around vigorously, my lower belly apron slaps up and down. It doesn't hang far but it hangs plenty enough to cause trouble when I am active. *blushes* This is incredibly embarrassing for me, as I know others can hear it, plus it is just uncomfortable! I have tried a maternity belly band and it just isn't supportive enough. I tried a back support band pulled down and it was TOO supportive.

Does anyone know of any alternatives out there to keep my lower belly snug during exercise but not so snug I can't move around?

congratulations on your weight loss, and on being a survivor! AND on continuing to be active in spite of the obstacles. You are a real inspiration. I don't know if you can afford surgery or even have the heart to go through another one?
It is understandable that it would be both uncomfortable and embarrassing, yet you continue to work out and exercise. What an overcomer you are!!!!

Perhaps an abdominal binder? Something like this http://www.amazon.com/Gabrialla-Breathable-Elastic-Abdominal-Binder/dp/B000WFT3II/ref=sr_1_6?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1365480663&sr=1-6&keywords=abdominal+supports

I wore one after abdominal surgery and found it fairly comfortable, although I'm not sure if it would roll during exercise. I notice the same problem you are facing and haven't really considered finding a solution

I can't help with your problem, but I wanted to congratulate you on your kidney transplant! I've had mine for 12 years. It's pretty lifechanging, huh?

Thanks for the replies! I think I am going to try out some smaller/control top type panties, and maybe that support belt.

And thanks for the support and encouragement! I feel amazing after my transplant and I am working hard to take really good care of myself to keep it healthy!

What a great problem to have! Try some high-waisted dance shorts or, if you can handle the heat factor, Spanx-type control shorts. Also great for wobbly thighs (my problem).

First of all, you are amazing!

What I found works best for my flappy belly are the compression leggings (in capri, full, and short lengths!) from Old Navy. I can wear the 2x in the store, and you're skinnier than I am, so you shouldn't have to worry about ordering them online. They're also relatively cheap. Good luck!!

ETA: I also have a pair of Danskin compression capris from Wal-Mart that I don't like as much because they're less cute, but they are moisture wicking, and only cost like $12.

Took the words right out of my mouth. As soon as I read the question, I thought tummy tuck knikers!

Well done with all your obstacles too - wow! x

I have these but on me they roll down, so if you look at them try them on and do some stuff in the changing room to see if they stay put.
