Question for lifters!

Hiya I have recently started doing NROLFW and am half way through stage 1.

I know that when you are working out your muscles that the next day they will ache and this might sound like a stupid question but even after you have been lifting for a while do they still ache just as much.

Not bothered if they do but just wanted to know really!

Nope! But then I found that the goal shifts and you seek to feel "something" so your muscles are reminded that they are improving. It's not as painful however. To get that "feel" you introduce a variety of exercises that challenge your muscles at different angles, different weights etc. to prevent them from getting used to the "same old".

After a while you adapt a little to the routines you are doing. But if you haven't, eg squatted 5x5 before and you start doing it 3 times a week, you'd better believe you are going to be sore for a while.

Bear in mind that soreness is not necessarily a sign of a good workout. I remember asking a guy on my friends list how he got used to squatting so heavy without the aches the next day he told me to keep squatting.

Yes your body will adapt and you won't be as sore. As the other poster said soreness is not a sign of a good workout.

NROLFW is awesome though! Stay the course, you'll be happy you did.

I find the hurt lasts not as long or as intense, so then I change up my routine.

How's this for an answer: yes and no. Some people do, some people don't, but with NROL you change your routine every few weeks so you're more likely to get doms.
