My husband and I are having our housewarming party this weekend and I am really trying to make sure there are some healthy foods for me to eat. Any ideas/recipes? Also, What is your favorite healthy party food?

Veggie trays are always good. So are meat and cheese trays, fruit or veggies like celery and apples paired with peanut butter or soft cheese spread. Homemade kale chips are quick and easy to make and delicious. Hummus and ________ fill in the blank. Or you could look for healthy recipes for more in depth dishes.0

Who doesn't love meatballs? Make yours with ground turkey or chicken and raw egg. Then decide if you are going for an asian flair (chopped ginger, green onion, sesame oil and a soy sauce/peanut butter dipping sauce) or greek flavored (garlic, oregano, and feta with tsatsiki for dipping) or italian style (parmesan, basil with tomato sauce). Now I'm hungry!
Oh, and I love asian slaw. Bagged slaw mix with sesame oil, cider vinegar, ginger, lemon juice, soy sauce. Be sure to make it at least 30 min before eating it.0 -

I know it's gimicky but I like skewers because they are portion-controlled and easy to eat with one hand.
You can make skewers of fruit using the 6 inch skewers (watermelon, clementine wedges, strawberries, grapes, maybe a mint leaf if you're feeling fancy). And the fruit pairs quite well with a small glass of sparkling wine as a little party snack.
You could marinate chicken or beef and make mini-skewers too if you want some portion-controlled protein options.
And you can skewer grape tomatoes, mozarella, and basil.
And if you can control youself on the chips, guacamole is full of the healthy fats, of course.0 -
Peanut butter is great, but packs a lot of fat. If you mix some yogurt with a T. of peanut butter you can cut out some of the fat and use that as a dip for your apples! Still tastes yummy!
May have to adjust the amount of peanut butter depending on how much dip you are making.0 -

Regular salsa or even Fruit salsa (add mango, papaya, pineapple, etc.) but instead of tortilla chips cut pitas up and toast them until they're crispy0
