Start counting calories at dinner?

Has anyone tried counting calories starting from dinner one night up until dinner the next day? I used to do that on weight watchers a long time ago. I'd start counting my points from 6pm-6pm instead of morning through night. I've realized that I am hungriest between 3:00-8:00 pm and am thinking about trying this strategy to stick to my calories. Also, if I ever eat out, or have a party, 9 times out of 10 it's in the evening.
