I've heard of this stuff and I really want to try it, but the 6.5 oz jar you'll see at the grocery store is around 5 bucks! Yikes.
If you look on the website, you can order 4 1lb bags for like $28, which is decent savings.

I've made this recipe and it's yummy! It uses chocolate PB2 though...

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Seed Pudding
    Calories: 133 | Fat: 6.6 g (Sat Fat: 1.5 g) | Carbohydrate: 15.9 g | Fiber: 4.5 g| Protein: 4.4 g

    ingredients:
    1 T chia seeds
    1/2 C unsweetened almond milk
    1/2 packet Splenda or Truvia
    1 T chocolate PB2
    1 oz sliced bananas
    1/2 T mini chocolate chips

    directions:
    1. In a container with a lid, combine the chia seeds, almond milk, Splenda, and PB2.
    2. Stir or shake well to combine.
    3. Let pudding sit in the fridge for at least a couple of hours, if not overnight.
I was just thinking last night that I would try to incorporate it in chocolate chia pudding! Thanks for this. :drinker:

Yeah... you're not going to like my opinion:

Throw it away and buy real peanut butter.

    Well....you asked.....

I would throw it in the garbage.

How do you take a wonderful food like peanuts and take out all the good parts and then make it into some bionic powder?

And, more to the point, WHY?????????

Peanut butter is nutritious and delicious and full of minerals your body can use. What IS powdered, low fat, low cal peanut stuff?

WHY??? do you care what anyone else eats? Mellow out. I think everyone knows that peanut butter is yummy and good for you, but obviously it is very high in fat and calories. PB2 is a good option for people trying to lose weight.

Amen, sister! Couldn't agree more! :)

PB2 is NOT a substitute for actual peanut butter when I want peanut butter.

BUT, I love it in my protein shakes. less than half the calories of real peanut butter but all the taste.
1 scoop protein powder, 2 TB PB2, 1 cup skim milk, ice, blend for 275 calories

Last night I mixed with low fat cream cheese and spread on graham crackers. Tasted like cheesecake. Nomz

it doesn't have any added sugar. what it has is lots of flavor for fewer calories. if this is not a concern for you...great! for me, it frequently is.
People get so pissy about what other people eat!

    Yes, this!!! :)

I'd see if my dog would eat.

    More than likely she wouldn't.

Then I'd toss it in the garbage.

I bought PB2 because I love peanut butter in my oatmeal, but didn't want all the extra calories. :-)
:glasses: Just saw something yesterday about this "PB2" so this post caught my eye. Was only curious until I read this^^^ I  peanut butter and adding this to my oatmeal sounds Yum Yum.

Try mixing with Greek yogurt and a bit of honey. Awesome fruit dip

<<< Lost 87 lbs eating Jif natural creamy peanut butter on a regular basis. Peanut butter has lots of healthy fats that the body needs to regulate hormones. When you cut too much fat out of your diet, you risk causing yourself some problems in the long term. Trust me, I know, I've had the grehlin-induced binges where I could not be satisfied.

PB2 is an option. Just because it is less calories and fat doesn't mean that it's a good option.

    Damn, people are uptight. :noway:

Just because someone buys PB2 doesn't mean they are never in their entire lives ever going to eat peanut butter again. How about, it's an option for other things. As an example, in our smoothies, since it's less of a mess and even less calories but you're getting the taste you want.

I, too, eat Peanut Butter every day. I love it. Probably would die without it. BUT, I like PB2 for other things.

    Geezus people.

Well you may call us uptight but the fact of the matter is that PB2 doesn't taste good.

Furthermore (and more importantly) it upsets Mr. Peanut.

And this is what happened last time Mr. Peanut got upset.

It's still made out of peanuts, it's just made a different way.

I look at it suspiciously on the shelf.

I was looking for almond butter a few weeks back and saw it, and I too looked at it suspiciously. Today, I went for more almond butter and thought I would give it a chance as I had seen a lot of talk about it.

Holy hell! I love it! I mixed it up and added some honey, then dipped apples in it! AWESOME!!!!

Can't wait to get home to let my wife try it.
