Evening meals and snacks

Is it truth or myth that when you're dieting you shouldn't eat anything after 6:00 p.m. on an average day? Sometimes I get hungry just before bedtime. Anyone an expert on the subject?

People swear on themselves it does, I try not to eat after 8:00PM. If I do get hungry, I try to eat something small ^^0

Complete myth. I eat a ton of food after 9pm. Check my diary if you don't believe me.
Edit: I don't work or follow a schedule that keeps me up late either.0 -

Just remember that as long as you have calories left at night, there's no problem eating. That's all that matters. 100 cals of food in the day is the same 100 cals of food at night.0

I usually eat my last snack of the day, which is usually ice cream, at midnight, right before I go to bed.0

I'm not an expert.....however I usually don't get to eat dinner until 8 pm, and usually have a snack before bed.....I have lost 65 lbs...so I think it's a myth. Hope that helps!0

I save a few calories for an after dinner snack. I have done this throughout my weightloss journey. It the my one habit I have the hardest time changing. I just think as long as I am within my calorie goal the time I eat doesn't matter.0

I've eaten pretty much every evening throughout my weight loss, didn't affect it for me. However, I am currently trying to scale it back since I find it is mostly mindless munching. I have the calories usually for it, but I should probably consume those earlier on slightly better choices. I'm also trying to achieve slightly different goals right now, so for me, I feel I need to get it reigned in.0

This is just what I've heard but I am given to understand that it can keep you awake because you are digesting and also if you don't, instead of your body having to digest the food you just ate it can burn the extra fat you have. If that makes sense.0

Dont starve yourself. Instead, eat a high protein meal after six. My meal 5 is 7oz white fish with cup of spinach and my meal 6 before bed is a protein shake. Increase your protein intake and your body will shed the fat. Hope that helped ...GL!!0

Your bady has no schedule, as long as ur under ur cals then ur fine. I have been known to eat frozen yogurt at 10 pm0
