Not hungty - should I eat to reach my cal goal?

I am dieting but not exercising, however I am active in my job, and day to day life, nothing strenuous, just on my feet walking, cleaning, playing with my kids, etc. My calorie goal is currently 1200, however today I only ate about 800 calories and I am not hungry for some reason. Should I eat just to meet my goal? I know eating too little can make you go into "starvation mode" but does this apply if I am just not hungry. This is definitely a new "problem" for me, but one I could get used to lol.

if you think of your caloric goals in terms of weekly goals, rather than daily goals. it really becomes easier to deal with day-to-day variations.
you've got 1200 x 7 days = 8400 calories to spread throughout the week.
Why not enjoy those calories when your body is really asking for them.
the short answer: I wouldn't eat if Im not hungy, there's always tomorrow.
having the phone app really makes it easy to see how you are doing each week.0 -
Thanks, I actually didn't realize you could think of it in terms of "weekly" goals. I know I won't have a problem making up for the deficit another day... There are definitely days where I am at my goal and I NEED MORE FOOD.0
