I have a recipe for a wild rice casserole that is made in a crock pot, and it makes about 8 servings.

Wild Rice Casserole (made in a crock pot)

    Ingredients-
    2 onions, finely chopped
    3 celery, thinly sliced
2 (6 ounce) packages dry instant long grain and wild rice mix
    2 1/2 cups water
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 pound processed American cheese
    1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

    Directions-
In a slow cooker, place onions, celery, rice mix, water, condensed cream of mushroom soup, butter, American cheese and mushrooms. Cover, and cook on Low 6 to 10 hours or on High 2 to 4 hours.

No, don't use a rice cooker...that wouldn't work well I don't think...because it has to cook for four hours. I can try to find another recipe, I've never ran into someone that doesn't have a slow cooker :) You should invest in one, they are great!

Just use a cooking pan, lid firmly shut and hob on the lowest heat.

yes just your cooking time will be faster, it's about an hour on simmer.

i love it cooked on the stove with garlic cloves, chicken broth, lots of fresh (or dried would also be
really flavorful), and whatever veggies you want to throw in there. carrots and greens are great for color.
