30DS question.

I recently broke my hand, but am not letting that hold me back from exercising.
My question is, other than push ups, is there a lot of workouts on there that require you to put weight on your hands or wrists?
I don't want to start it and get upset because I can't do most of what she's wanting.
Thank you.

Maybe a plank? No weight on your actual hand

You do have to hold handweights a lot during the video ;/0 -

Yes. A lot. You might want to hold off on the 30 Day Shred until your hand gets better. There are a lot of exercises done in push up or plank position as well as things like jumping jacks/shadow boxing with weights as you move into Level 3.0 -
Other than the pushups, there are a lot of plank positions in levels 2 and 3, and a lot of holding weights involved in all levels (not sure if that would be a problem for you? ) All in all, yes, there are quite a few moves that require hand and wrists to have weight put on them. If you can hold and use weights... then Level 1 may be ok, if you skipped the push ups! I'm not sure how you could do the plank position moves, you would have to find something that worked for you, like maybe planks on your forearms or something (may be hard since a lot of the moves require leg movement at the same time), or just repeating a different move from the workout to replace the ones you can't do at the moment.
If you haven't already, I would have a look through the workouts on youtube or on the dvd if you have it, and see how much you think you could do! Maybe practise some of the moves to make sure you can or can't do them
Best of luck to you! :flowerforyou:0 -
Thank you everyone.
I may hold of for a couple weeks and stick to the cardio I am doing now. I don't think I can hold weights, I got my cast off and it hurts to even make a fist.
Thank you for the input though.0 -

I think that you should get the Walk Away the Pounds Videos, you do not need your hands for anything they have a bunch of different ones. They are actually fun works it just alll different leg moves while you march in place. Hope your hand gets better.0
