So, I am a school teacher and we are doing a weight loss competition at school. So far I am in first place! Anyway, I am going to a concert tomorrow night and I had plane to have two to three beers. My plan for the day was to just eat on veggies and then have lean protein for dinner before the concert. The way in is Friday morning. Anyway, if I have a couple of beers will it hang around as water weight or cause me not to lose on Friday morning? I know by my scales I have lost this week, but I'm afraid a couple of drinks might skew that. What do y'all think? Will it be ok to have 2-3 beers or just abstain?

With beer I'm not so sure but liquor usually makes me weigh less the next day, I think it dehydrates you but just my thought on it. Who are you going to see? I hope you have fun!0

Congrats on being first - great motivation!!
I know when I drink, I tend to be a good 2 lbs lower then what I actually am the following morning. This is due to dehydration. I am then about 2 lbs higher then I actually am the following day due to water retention after the alcohol. It takes a couple of days for me to average out again. Everyone is different tho and I definitely would still enjoy my beers - weigh in or no weigh in!!
Good luck with it0 -

IMO weight loss competitions are very bad. It leads to guilt and undo pressures.
Eat healthy, workout, the weight will drop off naturally. No need to compare yourself to others.0
