Catch 22- think about food so you don't think about it later

It becomes such a catch 22- in order to NOT obsess over food, it seems I constantly have to be thinkin' about it.
Any insights?
Advice?
I don't have all the answers- in fact, the longer I'm at this- the more questions I come up with.
