I had a setback a couple of weeks ago and now that I have gotten back on track, I felt the need to write about my struggle. I am a college student, and it seems like all of my friends eat pretty bad, most carbs, and not even the good kinds- I'm talking subway (yes, it is semi-healthy/ better than eating at McDonald's, but when you eat there every night for dinner, that's just gross), fro yo- basically carbs and sugar galore. No fruits, no veggis, no whole grains, no fiber! I got lured into this healthy eating habit mindset and thought, "well if they can eat like that so can I!!" Let me tell you I was wrong. My body is just not used to eating like that anymore and I did not like what the scale said when I weighed myself after that week! ....Lesson learned- Focus on yourself and no one else!! Don't worry about what other people are eating. Don't try to eat like them- everyone's body is different. Don't let their bad eating habits distract you. You have the tools to succeed! And ten years from now at a renunion, you will be looking great and healthy, while they will have packed on the pounds, sadly!

Amen! I've faced the same issues recently and it's hard but you're so right! Focus on YOU and you will succeed. Soon your friends will be asking you how they can be healthier and instead of them being a negative role model for you, you can be their positive role model!
