Is the body ready for another workout?

The mind is willing but is my body able?
I've been having good heavy lifting workouts lately and I've been careful to eat really good. Getting enough calories, plenty of protein, good sources of carbs.
The problem is my legs are tired, sore and heavy feeling. They're getting stronger and I'm seeing some good definition (yay!!!! finally!!!) My upper body is kind of the same. Only without quite the heavy feeling.
So what is going on? Not enough rest in between workouts? I'm trying to lift MWF. Rest TT and weekend. I'm eating back my exercise calories. How much of the stiffness and soreness should I ignore compared to the heavy tired feeling?

What's your muscle group split?0

i rest when my body tells me i need to rest. with new exercises, it takes time to build up to full speed & strength.
i know some people are of the PUSH PUSH PUSH mentality, but i think that you're more likely to injure yourself if you're too tired to keep good form. push a little every time and you'll get there in the end.0 -
Whole body every time. I don't have time or rather don't want to go to the gym every day. I'd rather get it all done at one time while I have the 'eye of the tiger' mojo going. The other days I'll supplement with light cardio or light yardwork.0

If you are getting stronger , i.e. better performance each session, I think thats a good indication that your muscles are getting sufficient rest they need. It sounds like a conditioning issue. Your body just isnt used to the intensity of your workouts. Maybe try active recovery work on tuesday and thursday, sunday i.e. a gentle jog for a half hour followed with some post workout stretching.0

Could it be your diet. You seem to often be under your goal and some of your calories are not that healthy- not a dig- just an opinion.0

How often are you training? 3 times a week on a full body is pretty taxing.0

Problem is we (the family) go a lot... and often BK (btw, that last bk entry was just a veggie burger w/no mayo -yuck! I gave it a total thumbs down.) is what the guys vote for. I order the lowest calorie, lowest fat thing I can. Often a salad, or a chicken sandwich, no mayo... The cake?... that is a thin slice of angel food cake with greek yogurt for dessert.
And the alcohol... that's a weekend thing... mostly. And I'm not giving that up. Yes, I know I could lose weight faster if I cut that, but any change has to fit into our lives. Few people can diet in a vacuum. Especially not mothers. I'm trying to make this (exercise, moderation, smart food choices, etc) a long term thing. If I go too severe with what I'm doing, I'll quit. I know me.
But I'm confused,... what is this advocacy? Advocacy for what? Or is this a new diet food.0
