At least 1200 calories?

So, I know I am supposed to have at least 1200 calories a day... this does mean food calories, right? As in, I am allowed 1500... so if I eat 1300 and exercise 300 technically thats 1000. However, I am not exercising just to eat the calories I burned. I assume its food calories since if that scenario completes my day it does not give me the "below the 1200 calorie" warning. Is this correct?

Your NET calories should be at least 1200. Technically, if your goal is 1500, your net should be 1500 or close to it, but some would debate that.

If you understand the way MFP is set up you will realize that it assumes you are losing weight by not exercising. So yes, you have to eat those calories back to achieve a correct net calorie goal because it already factors in the deficit you need to lose weight.0
