These are gooey, rich and generally awesome. Better than any protein bar you can buy in the store. Totally worth the effort. Portable and healthy. Makes a cookie sheet sliced into 10 equal sized bars. If they turn out too gooey or soft, reduce milk by 1/4 cup. Store refrigerated in plastic sandwich baggies after slicing. Keeps about a week.

Double Chocolate Protein Bar
All Natural Dried Cranberries, 1/2 cup
1% Lowfat Chocolate Milk, 1/2 Cup
All Natural Apple Sauce No Sugar Added, 1/4 Cup
Sliced Almonds, 30 g (1/4 cup)
70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate , 4 squares (each sq 10g)
Smucker's - Natural Peanut Butter - Creamy, 2 Tbsp
Almond Butter, 2 tbsp
Honey 1 Tbsp (21g)
Agave Nectar - Raw, 1 Tbsp (21g)
Whole Grain Oats - All Natural, 2 cup
Optimum Nutrition - Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein - Double Rich Chocolate, 7 scoops
In two separate bowls:
Combine dry ingredients
Oats, Whey Protein Powder, Cranberries, Almonds
Combine wet ingredients:
Milk, applesauce, peanut butter, almond butter, honey, nectar, and dark chocolate
1. Mix up the dry ingredients well, set aside
2. Combine wet ingredients in separate bowl, blend
3. Microwave wet ingredients 1 minute or until chocolate melts and mixture is well blended
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mixture will be thick and sticky like cookie dough
5. Use wax paper to line a medium-sized cookie sheet
6. Spread mixture evenly onto wax paper cookie sheet
7. Cover with separate piece of wax paper
8. Compress the mixture while covered, ensuring smooth and even consistency and pressed well into sides and corners
9. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
10. Slice into even sections (about 10 bars)
