They Call me Rie

Hey there,
They call me Rie - it's a nickname I go by. I've been struggling with weight loss since I got back from Fredericton of March 2012 when I decided to work for a fast food restaurant that serves poutine and poutine only. To make a long story short, 9 months working there and forgetting the lunch you made at home and eating the food there can really take a toll on your body - top it off with a number of stress I put myself through and the stuff I ended up liberating myself from when my family moved out of the home of a manipulative con-artist. :grumble:
We're happy in our new home and all but since I tried getting back into working out and all that in December of last year, I'm still struggling. I'm stuck on the 140's range - 139 range now. The most I've weighed since I moved here was 144... That was after I had been let go from a job in January - not the fast food one but some office job. :frown:
I would like to bring my weight and all that down again. I see my inches going down but not the weight - could it be muscle and bone mass?
My favorite workouts would be walking, stationary cycling, dance, Shaun T's Insanity, martial arts, and body weighted workouts since buying equipment is just a pain in the butt when my budget is tight. I know so much factors come into play when it comes to fitness and nutrition (culture, family history, lifestyle, etc.) - trust me I took a course and got honor roll in it but where the heck did I end up? :frown:
I know I need to focus on keeping stress levels down and taking a breather as well as burning it off with physical activity to let off steam instead of comfort food and make time for other exercises. That's why I'm here, to get some help give some pointers, and hopefully reach my goal with others out there who are struggling like I am.

I had to look up what poutine is. Yes, I can see that adding weight to people if they eat it a lot. Interesting.
Are you currently doing Insanity? If you're seeing changes in your size, then you shouldn't be as afraid of the scale. Measure yourself also, and track that. Being fit is more than the scale.
Your diary is locked, so can't tell what you're eating, or how tall you are to know where that weight fits in.
Don't keep deleting and readding yourself because you don't change.... that is the past. Look forward, be better each day. One day at a time! Its not a diet, but a lifestyle change that will get you there.0 -
