Wanted to get a form check video up while the weight was still light; http://youtu.be/r0suQUEslmw

While watching it I noticed my upper body bobbing more than I'd like. I move my head forward to ensure I lock the weights at the top, but I need to be more mindful of my torso.

I'd say it look pretty good. I would just suggest trying to add some force into the lift if you can, push with controlled momentum.

It does look like it lacks force on the way up, doesn't it? I'll work on that, thanks!

Looks great to me! It looks like the bar is pretty much traveling straight up as it it supposed to. Your elbows also seem to be in a good starting position

I should record a video and post it also. My form is much worse and I am currently stalled on OHP. For one thing I don't think my bar path is nearly as straight and my elbows are too far back at the start.

Thanks. I try to put my arms in the same position as if I'm about to do bench. Not sure if that'll help, but it's how I try to keep my form.

Looked good to me. It just didn't look like you were trying very hard if I'm honest. Add weight! :D

I wasn't  I'm doing a modified version of SL5x5, and the weight will increase fairly quickly. By mid May I'll be up to 180lbs.

Gotcha. 180lbs would be a pipe dream for me. I just started SL myself, best I've ever done is 145x1 or 120x5.

I'm pretty confident I'll have to deload before then, so I likely won't hit 180 until later this year, but I'm going to give it all I have. 120x5 is good, and you'll see some awesome strength increases with SL by time you finish the 12 weeks. Before my back started acting up I was on week 16.

I think your form looks good. But you should be cleaning that weight up from the floor, lifting off the squat rack is cheating! :)

Doing OHP, not cleans. Besides, I had to modify the 5x5 plan because of my back (can't do rows, deadlifts, or squats right now). Def not cleaning anything :P
